Get inside e-commerce and new postal services
The postal sector in the digital age is at a decisive step of its evolution. The boom of e-commerce is transforming the business while having a significant social impact on the postal operators. At the same time, a large part of incumbents are looking for growth opportunities with the development of proximity services.
Discussions around these topics are continuous in our daily work, but do we really know what is hiding behind them? What new challenges or opportunities do e-commerce and these new services represent for companies and their employees? What are really the e-commerce value chain and respective market? Which innovative services are being tested and implemented all over Europe? What is the impact of these evolutions in terms of skills and employment? These are some of the main questions that have been addressed during a training seminar held in Brussels on 17-18 November 2015 in attendance of the major European postal key players.
To disseminate the outputs of this seminar in an innovative way, the European Social Dialogue Committee for the postal sector has decided to elaborate an online training based on the videos of this successful event. Alongside these videos and their related quizzes, you will get the necessary insights on e-commerce and new proximity services with inputs from key stakeholders and examples of postal operators’ initiatives in these fields.
